GILBERT & SULLIVAN
ALONE –TOGETHER – AT LAST!
Gilbert and Sullivan are best known for their great collaborations like The Mikado and The Pirates of Penzance. But they each had successful separate careers.
The G&S Society of Nova Scotia was delighted to present two of their Victorian parlor shows in the Fall of 2009.
SWEETHEARTS by William S.Gilbert
&
COX AND BOX by Arthur Sullivan and F.C. Burnand
This show was put on in the parlor at Sacred Heart School in Halifax, a ideal setting for these intimate Victorian pieces. G&S members in period dress even hosted an old fahioned tea party at internission.
